Recently, there has been considerable interest in developing safer products to improve appearance of age spots due to controversy regarding the safety of the most widely used ingredient hydroquinone. Our licorice lightener contains 0.4% glabradin, a component of licorice which has been shown in medical literature to inhibit tyrosinase. Our lightener also contains two other ingredients proven to improve the appearance of skin pigmentation; niacinamide and alpha-hydroxy acid.
